Come and meet us!Want to Tour the Brewery?
Keen Homebrewer? Beer lover?
On holiday on Anglesey? Or just curious as to how two people could be so daft as to build a fully working brewery in an old miners cottage? Over the last two years we've had loads of requests to visit the brewery, something we never expected and didn't really encourage as it's our home after all. But, we've had some great visits and some great laughs and met some lovely people, and drunk lots of beer!

Our 'tours' tend to be spontaneous, we're not really a tour site but you are very welcome visitors to our home. Souvenirs in the gift shop tend to be limited to beer and occasional loaves of bread, soda bread at the moment! We really must get some gonks, jumbo pencils, laughably terrible fudge and some fridge magnets. Oh, and them plastic 'beer goggles' sunglasses...

So... If you'd like to visit the brewery, meet the brewers (and possibly Rosie the brewery cat, I've a feeling she's trying to hire an agent, don't expect autographs) you'll be welcome. We'll show you how we make our beers, show you the kind of ingredients we use (and tell you why there's a lot we don't) we'll also show you how building a brewery on a budget encourages invention almost on a Heath Robinson scale!
Individual visits, just give us a little notice by 'phone, we might be out shopping. If you want to visit as a group we can organise tastings, beer appropriate nibbles plus our home made bread, cheese and pickles. Groups we've had have included brew enthusiasts, Stags, CAMRA groups, beer nerds (their description!) and just people who like good beer and want to see how it's made. Maximum group size is 8, ok 9 at a push, it's just our kitchen and it's full of brewing kit! Can you please give us a day or two notice. If you want to organise a visit just contact us via the contact form or give us a ring on 07766608889. |
How to Find Us
Welsh Satnav
Conventional satnav will likely land you looking confused parked on the village bypass. Google streetview will send you to one of our neighbours. (Lovely people, but they don't have a brewery.) This is Anglesey, you need to act like a local, a Welsh Ninja (Or Ninja Cymraeg if you want to be strictly correct).
You need to use 'treenav'. We would use 'sheepnav' but they have a habit of moving about. They also drop what look like Cadbury mini eggs on your garden paths, our advice, do not eat.
Coming from the Bangor direction, enter the village of Penysarn at the first turn to your right. There is a kids playground to your left and a closed down pub (boo!) to your right. We are about 100m on the left, look for a palm tree (see, treenav!) in the garden immediately opposite.
Coming from the Amlwch direction, enter Penysarn by the first turn to the left. Veer right and pass the village shop on your right (or call in, they have a lot of local produce, especially bread and eggs and they are really nice people). Approx. 200m on you'll see some terraced houses on your right that stick out onto the pavement. We are the last of the four. The garden opposite has a palm tree (see, treenav again!).
If Shelagh ever cuts that palm tree down we are truly stuffed.
